
If you are interested in scheduling a presentation you may contact the Bakersfield Police Department Traffic Section. The presentation may be presented to a large group in an auditorium, or at a smaller classroom
level. The school needs only to provide a venue, the students,
and a place for the presentation.

Officer Rex Davenport,
Bakersfield Police Department
About the presenter:
Officer Davenport was born and raised in Bakersfield. He has been a police officer for over nine years and is currently assigned to the traffic division as a DUI/Traffic car. Prior to traffic, Officer Davenport was assigned to the patrol division, working in all areas of the city on both the day shift and night shift. He is married and has a teenage daughter and one year old son. In his off time, Officer Davenport enjoys golf, fishing, and spending time with his family. Officer Davenport is very passionate about this program as he himself lost a brother to an alcohol related traffic collision.

Officer Jared Diederich,

About the presenter:
Officer Diederich was born and raised in Bakersfield. He has worked for the Bakersfield Police Department for five years and is currently assigned to the traffic division as a DUI/Traffic Car. Prior to his assignment in the traffic division, Officer Diederich was assigned to the patrol division as well as the K9 unit. Officer Diederich has worked various shifts and schedules, covering all areas of the city. Officer Diederich is married and has three sons. During his time off, Officer Diederich enjoys spending time with his family and he enjoys running and mountain biking. Officer Diederich is passionate about this program and enjoys the opportunity to interact with the public during presentations.

Officer Gabriel Herriott,
Bakersfield Police Department
About the presenter:
Officer Herriott was born and raised in Bakersfield. He has been a police officer for five years and is currently working assigned to the traffic division as a DUI/Traffic car. Prior to working in the traffic division Officer Herriott worked as a patrol officer in east Bakersfield on both day and night shifts. Officer Herriott’s involvement at the Police Department also includes being a defensive tactics instructor. He is married and has an infant son at home. In Officer Herriott’s off time, he enjoys martial arts training, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Officer Herriott is very passionate about the program and believes in it strongly. When Officer Herriott was a toddler he was involved in a DUI collision from which he sustained several injuries including a hair line fracture to his skull.
